The TV arrived yesterday afternoon at 4:30. Joe (this customer's friend who bought from us previously) checked out the box and I opened it when I got home. Everything looks fine. Since I didn't get home from work until midnight last night, I haven't installed it yet but I will as soon as I possibly can. Obviously, I need a little help lifting it.
I noticed a sticker on the box that says deliver by 4/7....I guess the Teamsters use a different calendar. I think that was Monday. The TV (Pioneer Kuro PDP-6010FD) arrived here Friday morning, but we didn't get a chance to assemble it until Saturday. It's unbelievable! I'm watching anything that's on just to see it's picture. It's much better than I even imagined it would be. Can't wait for 1080p; objects will probably jump off the screen and onto the floor.
Pilot Air Freight really knew what they were doing too. They called me upon it's arrival and had the proper equipment to handle the carton. Compared to my first encounter with the prior merchant this was a piece of cake. Based on seeing how this unit was boxed, I'm beginning to think the first one was a returned set to them or reboxed at the least which would account for the damaged screen.
The sound is so impressive, with only it's speaker bar, I didn't even hook it up to my stereo.
I notice that there's a jack for a sub-woofer too. Eventually, I'd probably get one and wonder if the "Sound" portion of your company's name is involved in speaker equipment? If so, what would you recommend for an auxiliary speaker and do you sell speakers as well? (Yes we do!)

Yesterday I received my Pioneer 5010FD Plasma HD Television. I have not finished installing all my A/V devices to the new set or finished finalizing all the settings but based on what I have seen so far, this 1080P set is something to behold. I keep trying to tone down the picture. Everything is so vibrant with the blacks providing such contrast. I am amazed. I also appreciate your follow-up help with a few installation questions. Doug, I received the Pioneer PDP-6070HD yesterday the 4th of December, only 5 days after the ship date, which included the weekend. The delivery was excellent, no external damage of any kind to the shipping boxes, and within the specified 4 hour delivery window the shipper stated by phone. The packing that Pioneer does is excellent--the biggest problem, a minor one at that, is disposal of the wood shipping palet and all the heavy cardboard. The driverused his palet dolley to move the big box up to the front door where it would be easy for me to unbox the items.
After unpacking, assembling and connecting the cables, the resulting picture is superb-- off the air! I have not subscribed to HD cable yet so I used my rooftop antenna to test the HD opeeration. I didn't know there was so much HD transmitted in this area(San Francisco), plus all the digital sub channels.
Although I was wait-listed for this item, I know it was a general supply problem for a very new item, since the dealers here didn't have one on display yet. I really appreciate the way you do business and would not hesitate to recommend you to any of my friends who I know would be up to unpacking and assembling their own equipment. Since I am a retired engineer, having dealt with a lot of RF equipment, it was only a pleasant challenge. By spending two hours of my time in unpacking and setup, my savings amounted to over $1000 relative to buying locally. One of the stores here quoted $150 for delivery to the house, even after charging $5400 for the TV. Thank you so much for the pleasant and rewarding purchasing experience.

The cable card is now installed. The Pioneer media box concept was new to the installer---he really wanted to plug the coax into the TV! Everything went well and the picture is unbelievable. Even the installer was blown away. He said he had done a number of plasma and LCD TVS (not Pioneers) and mine was the best he had seen (That's even with the contrast and brightness scaled back for the break-in period). He had the local PBS station on in HD and the colors and details were clear without looking artificial.

My husband figured out more of the settings last night and is even more impressed with this TV. He had purchased and run an expensive HDMI cable, but didn't get it all connected and menus adjusted properly until last night... WOW... what a picture! We had been watching HDTV with just the s-video cable and non-enabled HDMI. It looks as if you can reach out and touch the jungle plants, trees, food whatever. The colors are so vibrant!
We will begin showing this to all our friends once we re-patch the walls and repaint. This has been quite the remodel :) Maybe you will get a call or two for another sale... it's so impressive!!!

I just would like to thank you both for your awesome customer service. I just went through a bad experience with my two local cable companies and a satellite company that I though it was reputable, but at the end they got me with their tactics “lies”, so I spent a lot of time researching for the plasma television purchase (PDP-4350HD). I selected Pioneer because after researching for over two months it was the one with highest reviews, plus I have a Pioneer Stereo System that I purchased about 18 years ago and it is still kicking! Since the first telephone call I made you were very professional, knowledgeable, and straight forward. You even told me about the noticeable difference in receptions with Cable, Satellite, HD, and what to expect with the PDP-4350HD. You gave me instructions on what to ask the delivery company. You mentioned the type of delivery truck and if the proper delivery truck was not available how to unload the item from the truck. You provided serial number, tracking number, Delivery Company, expected delivery day, and you even volunteer to help with any questions during set up.
I didn’t forget to mention about your excellent price and no sales tax! As one of the few Pioneer authorized internet dealer you were the cheapest (including local authorized vendors) even after you threw in the wall mount. Oh! By the way, the PDP-4350HD is the way to go, for those that are still looking, look no more, Dave and Doug will take care of you and you will definitely get a plasma television that is excellent all the way (Color/Brightness/Clarity/Features/Design, etc.). I have posted a review of this on plasmatvbuyingguide.com but I do not see it appear yet. Perhaps they need to verify it before it is posted. It is unfortunate that other people who have posted on that site have had a miserable experience. If they only knew about S&S. I plan to inform all my friends and colleagues of this experience. So far everyone who has entered my home has been amazed at the deal and the service I received. This is thanks to you guys.

I have to say I am truly amazed. I ordered the plasma tv at around 5 pm on the 6th, and it arrived today (the 8th) at about noon. OUTSTANDING! It is up and running and works beautifully. Thanks for the great service. (By the way, I received the tv before I got the tracking info).

I was very skeptical about the whole idea of an ED plasma given the fact we have a dedicated theater room with a Sony HD LCD projector. After your educating me and given the great price point you made me a believer in the Pioneer 42" ED plasma.
My installer said I made a mistake with the ED until yesterday afternoon he finished the install and was floored by the picture of the Pioneer. HD material was superb, DVD was excellent and standard television given its serious limitations was very very good!
I want to thank you for all your help and a wonderful purchasing experience. You could have sold me something I did not need for much more money. Given this is a secondary room the Pioneer shines. Truth to tell is this set could easily be a primary viewing display and I would be more than happy.

I don't think I've red a better purchasing experience in my 52 years, regardless of whether the purchase took place on the Internet or in a brick and mortar.
From the outset, I sensed I was dealing with someone who listens to his customers' needs and does everything possible to put that customer in the most technologically advanced product available while keeping the client within budget. No more, no less. It didn't take long to conclude I was dealing with a company and an owner who subscribes to a policy that includes customer service, honesty and integrity. Monster filter box, the Toshiba sd5970 and the Harmoney remote #680, I experienced courtesy and respect from you and your organization before,
during and after the sale. In fact, when installation was in progress your additional help over the telephone was appreciated.
I am glad we located you on Pioneer's web site, listed as a Pioneer authorized online dealer. We received the full manufacturers warranty on all the items
purchased. We almost made the mistake of purchasing this equipment online from an unauthorized dealer...in which you do not receive the manufacturers
warranty and cannot be sure of what you are purchasing.
